Looking for a sailing adventure or perhaps you need mileage? Why not join us on a mile builder cruise to new and exciting locations?
The mile builder provides sea miles and offshore qualifying passages in preparation for assessment for the RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of Competence. The emphasis during these cruises is on enjoyment and confidence building with the knowledge you have a Yachtmaster Instructor with you for guidance and or training. Ensuring that the miles covered are quality and not just a 'passenger'.
These cruises are suitable for anyone with some basic sailing experience. The itinerary of the weeks will be flexble and weather dependant. You will experience a series of 60 mile passages, one of which will be through the night, operating a watch system on board. The stopping points on route all have opportunities for boat handling skills in tidal or river currents, to practice such skills as ferry gliding. En route you will have the possiblity to discuss any aspect of the RYA sylabus and have the chance to perfect your MOB training manouvers. You can expect to enjoy some magnificent sunsets and to stop at some scenic ports and anchorages en route.
